If you are a member of a book club or have always wanted to start your own book club, we can help! Schlow Library offers Book Discussion Group Kits that you may use with your group.

Each book club bag holds 6 copies of the same title, information on how to start a book club, as well as questions to get discussions going.

Eat out and support Schlow!

Friends of Schlow Library are the largest library donor every year. Friends currently fund adult, teen and children's educational programs, music concerts, Summer Reading Program activities, BookFestPA and e-books. Join the effort by dining out at Harrison's Wine Grill between October 17-30, 2011.

Portraits of the Flower Kachinas

Lisa Dawn White is an artist with an extraordinary eye for botanical collage. As the days shorten and the skies turn gray, be sure to stop in the gallery to experience the fine detail of this exhibition in person. Her work will be on display throughout October.

Campbell Plowden is a dedicated "nature lover, ecologist and environmentalist [who] received his PhD in Ecology from Penn State University in 2001 and founded the Center for Amazon Community Ecology (CASE) in 2006." Dr. Plowden's photography captures the essence of the Amazon. From the native people to the native plants, the photography on display will transport you.

The Art Alliance of Central PA Teachers' Exhibition

The Betsy Rodgers Allen Gallery is pleased to welcome back the teachers of The Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. On display from August 2nd to August 31st, the exhibition highlights a number of different mediums that will be covered in classes this fall. Finding the Quiet: Recent Images of Taiwan

Karen Serago received her Bachelors of Arts from Penn State University and holds a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Ohio State. Ms. Serago spent nearly a decade living in Taiwan and returns regularly to see family, visit familiar places, eat, and photograph.

April is here and the gallery committee is anticipating the next Juried Exhibition! The response from artists last year was overwhelmingly positive and visitors to the area were impressed to see the wealth of talent that exemplifies the Centre Region.
