A scuba diver and world traveler, fiber artist Sandi Garris imbues her colorful work with her passion for exotic cultures and natural patterns. Inspired by rich coral reefs and lush rain forests, Garris mixes red, yellow, and blue MX dyes to create hundreds of hues and shades to color the fabrics used in her organically graphic artwork.
Diane Maurer is a published author, artist, and teacher. She is represented in numerous museum collections around the globe, including the Cooper-Hewitt Museum, Harvard University Library, The Suleymaniye in Istanbul, and The Museum of Antiquities in Urumchi, China. Her one-of-a-kind work has also been commissioned by companies such as Godiva Chocolate, Lenox China, and HarperCollins.
April is here and the gallery committee is anticipating the next Juried Exhibition! The response from artists last year was overwhelmingly positive and visitors to the area were impressed to see the wealth of talent that exemplifies the Centre Region.
